Wipro has announced one of its largest strategic transformation engagements, signing an eight-year deal with Olam Group that is expected to exceed $1 billion in total contract value, with a committed spend of US$800 million.
As part of the arrangement, Wipro will also acquire Mindsprint, Olam Group’s IT and digital services business, for $375 million, subject to regulatory approvals and closing conditions. The transaction is expected to close by the end of June 2026.
Sunny Verghese, Co-Founder and Group CEO of Olam Group, said: “We are pleased to partner with Wipro on our transformation journey. Wipro’s scale, consulting‑led approach, innovation investments, and Wipro Intelligence™ position it well to advance Olam Group’s mission‑critical programmes and drive scalable outcomes. As Olam Group accelerates its journey towards being more agile, future‑ready, and in line with our priorities under the Re-organisation Plan to sharpen focus on core businesses and maximise shareholder value, we are bringing together the strengths of Mindsprint with Wipro. Mindsprint’s deep expertise in the food and agri-business industry, combined with Wipro’s global capabilities, creates powerful synergies for growth and end‑to‑end transformation across the value chain.”
Olam Group headquartered in Singapore, is a food and agri-business company with operations across a wide global value chain. The company said the deal is part of its updated re-organisation plan and that the combined capabilities of Mindsprint and Wipro are intended to support its mission-critical programmes and improve operating efficiency. Wipro said the engagement will be delivered through a consulting-led and AI-powered model.

Wipro said it will work across Olam’s “farm-to-fork” value chain, covering areas such as farming, forecasting, trading, supply chain operations and customer engagement. The company also said its Wipro Intelligence™ platform and partnerships with technology providers will be central to the transformation work.
“Wipro’s strategic engagement with Olam Group is an important step in expanding our farm‑to‑fork capabilities and scaling the impact of Wipro Intelligence™ across the food and agri‑business industry,” said Srini Pallia, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Wipro Limited. “I welcome the leadership team and employees of Mindsprint who will become a part of the Wipro family. By bringing Mindsprint’s deep domain expertise and IP-led solutions, together with Wipro’s consulting-led and AI-powered capabilities, we aim to unlock growth opportunities, catalyze innovation, and drive market‑ready transformation for Olam Group and our global clients across the industry.”
Mindsprint is a meaningful part of the transaction. Wipro said the business employs more than 3,200 professionals and has been supporting Olam’s digital transformation efforts. The unit provides supply-chain transformation, digital platforms and proprietary IP-led tools, including Farmsprint®, Procuresprint®, SprintAP™, Salessprint™ and Tradesprint®. After the acquisition closes, Mindsprint will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Wipro.
Mindsprint provides technology, cybersecurity and digital services across sectors including food and agribusiness, manufacturing, retail, consumer packaged goods, healthcare and life sciences. It also reported that the deal was viewed by analysts at ICICI Securities as Wipro’s largest acquisition to date and one that could improve revenue visibility and deepen domain capabilities in food and agribusiness.
For Wipro, the announcement is significant because it combines a long-duration services contract with a tuck-in acquisition that brings industry expertise into the same account. For Olam, the move fits a broader restructuring effort aimed at sharpening its focus on core businesses and unlocking shareholder value. Reuters also reported that Wipro shares rose as much as 3.2% after the announcement.
