Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a multi-year partnership with Elopak ASA to transform and manage the packaging company’s global IT operations. TCS said the program will use AI, automation and cloud tools to modernize Elopak’s IT environment, improve agility and align technology more closely with business priorities.

TCS will act as Elopak’s strategic IT partner under a process-centric operating model. The work will include an integrated service desk and upgrades to key enterprise applications, with its Cognix AI service-delivery suite supporting analytics and automation. TCS also said the goal is to improve efficiency, digital experience and responsiveness across Elopak’s global business.

About Elopak

Elopak is a global supplier of paper-based packaging and filling equipment. The company operates in more than 40 countries and serves customers in more than 70 markets. Elopak was founded in Norway in 1957, employs more than 3,000 people, and sells products including Pure-Pak®, D-PAK™ and Roll Fed.

For Elopak, the contract is a modernization project tied to operations, customer service and business growth.

Elopak CIO Merethe Johansen said the partnership is intended to strengthen digital ambitions, improve efficiency and support the company’s 2030 vision, including above-market growth. That makes the deal operational rather than cosmetic: it is about changing how the company runs, not simply replacing vendors.

Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing, TCS, said, “In an increasingly connected and intelligent business environment, enterprises need digital foundations that can continuously adapt and evolve. Through this partnership, we will help Elopak modernize its IT operations with AI, automation, and cloud, enabling greater agility, operational efficiency, and user experience across its global business. Together, we look forward to supporting Elopak’s growth strategy and sustainability ambitions as it continues to deliver innovative and sustainable packaging solutions to customers and consumers around the world.”

Amit Pethe, Country Head, TCS Norway, said, “Elopak is a global leader with a strong heritage of innovation and sustainability. We are proud to partner with them on their transformation journey. By combining TCS’ AI-led capabilities with deep domain expertise, we will help build a resilient, agile, and intelligent IT ecosystem that supports Elopak’s long-term growth and enhances its global competitiveness.”
