At IFSEC India 2024, the premier security expo in New Delhi, Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), through its System Solutions Division (SSD), introduced two cutting-edge surveillance systems for the Indian market: the AI-enabled High Zoom Bullet Camera and the X-series Camera equipped with AI-based On-site Learning analytics.

The company also highlighted a comprehensive suite of surveillance offerings, which includes the latest anti-ligature corner camera and a new range of Video Door Phones.

Commenting on the launch, Vijay Wadhawan, Director, System Solutions Division, Panasonic Life Solutions India said, “With increasing urbanization and infrastructure development, the Indian market is at the cusp of a surveillance revolution. The integration of innovative technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) is providing boundless opportunities to the sector, with enhanced capabilities like facial recognition and real-time analytics. At Panasonic, we are proud to be at the forefront of this transformation with our advanced solutions that cater to the evolving needs of our customers. The latest AI-powered i-PRO camera solutions, unveiled at IFSEC India 2024, have been meticulously designed to address the unique security challenges faced by Indian customers, empowering them to create safer, more secure environments.”

AI-enabled High Zoom Bullet Camera offers both 10x and 30x optical zoom capabilities, available in resolutions of 2MP, 5MP, and 4K, combined with long-range IR LED performance extending up to 250 meters (820 feet) for optimal nighttime operation. Utilizing the Ambarella CV52 SoC, these cameras integrate AI-driven object detection for significant enhancements in target identification.

The i-PRO Active Guard application incorporates advanced metadata for discriminating attributes of humans and vehicles and integrates smoothly with popular Video Management Systems (VMS).

Moreover, four LPR-optimized models are engineered to capture fast-moving objects at speeds reaching 130 km/h, whether during the day and night. The integration of a gyro-based stabilization feature allows long-range zoom imaging by minimizing vibration and ensuring image clarity under difficult conditions.

This solution is particularly well-suited for traffic management and perimeter surveillance. On the other hand,

The X Series Camera leverages AI on-site learning, enabling users and integrators to customize the camera’s monitoring capabilities for specific objects. This strengthens its edge computing capabilities, allowing further customization to recognize unique objects of interest.

The X Series can also upgrade non-AI network cameras into AI-enabled smart devices. Available in 2MP, 5MP, 6MP, and 4K variants, the X Series delivers exceptional image quality, featuring a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) of up to 144dB and IR illumination that extends up to 70 meters, ensuring superior clarity across varying environmental conditions.

This series is ideal for applications across manufacturing facilities, hospitals, retail environments, and more.
