HCLTech announced that it has been selected by Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) to overhaul and modernize the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations. The announcement, officially released on February 4, 2026.
Under the agreement, HCLTech will deploy its proprietary iMRO/4 asset management platform, integrated with SAP S/4HANA, to serve as HAESL’s next-generation Maintenance Execution System (MES) in Hong Kong. The objective is to elevate operational efficiency, boost real-time visibility across workflows and create a scalable digital backbone.
For HAESL, which specializes in the overhaul and testing of Rolls-Royce engines and supports airlines worldwide, the integration of iMRO/4 with SAP’s robust enterprise suite represents more than a technology upgrade. It offers a single, unified view from engine induction to release, enhancing traceability and shrinking.
“By integrating iMRO/4 with SAP S/4HANA, we will enhance end-to-end traceability and provide a single view of the workflow from induction to release,” said Ravinder Bedi, General Manager of Finance & Administration at HAESL. He described the collaboration as “a significant step in our transformation, creating a scalable digital foundation that supports operational excellence and long-term growth.”
From HCLTech’s perspective, the partnership sets a benchmark for digital excellence in an industry segment where precision and predictability are paramount.
