Exabeam Enhances Security Operations with Google Cloud Integration to Combat Insider Threats from AI Agents

At the Security Innovation Forum hosted by Google Cloud, Exabeam, a leader in security technology, announced the integration of Google Agentspace and Google Cloud’s Model Armor telemetry into the New-Scale Security Operations Platform.

This new feature allows organizations to understand what these AI agents are doing, so they can see any unusual behavior and quickly spot if there is a problem.

A study by Exabeam found that many organizations (93%) have either faced or expect to face more insider threats caused by AI. Additionally, 64% of organizations are more worried about insider threats than threats from outside.

As AI agents take actions for users, access sensitive information, and make independent choices, they create a new kind of risk: digital actors who may act in ways we do not expect or control.

Many security systems that don’t adapt and learn from normal behavior struggle to identify when AI agents behave unexpectedly. Exabeam aims to fill this gap by monitoring both human actions and AI agent activity.

By working with Google’s tools, Exabeam is pushing the boundaries of how we analyze behavior in security.

“This is a natural step for us in detecting insider threats,” said Steve Wilson, Chief AI and Product Officer at Exabeam. “Our solutions are built to provide deep insights into the actions of both people and AI agents, using a platform that security teams already trust. We want to give teams the understanding and control they need to manage new insider threats.”

Exabeam’s latest tool, Exabeam Nova, plays a key role in this by helping security teams understand and respond to AI agents behavior.

“AI agents are changing how businesses operate, so security must change too,” said Chris O’Malley, CEO at Exabeam. “By expanding our behavior analysis to AI agents, Exabeam is leading the way in detecting insider threats and giving teams the tools they need to protect their operation.”

“As businesses start using AI more, they encounter new security challenges,” said Vineet Bhan, Director of Security and Identity Partnerships at Google Cloud. “Our partnership with Exabeam is essential in tackling these challenges.”
