Remote Working Technology

Due to lockdown, most of the organizations are operating from home. Many employees are working at their best possible capacity to maintain the workflow from their homes. Many of us found this unusual in the beginning, but now, after two-three months, it is becoming our new normal. Remote working and maintaining workflow has become possible because of technology.

In some ways, this is a great thing, this pandemic has taught us somethings that we never knew were possible. It is now evident that enterprises can smoothly function even remotely, they don’t need to stay in one place in order to work at their best. It is not like being in office is not necessary at all, but it is not required for all. Remote working is something that can be used to grow enterprises without spending a lot of spendings. This is something that can improve the profitability of the enterprises.

Six ways Technology helps remote working employees to maintain the workflow

1. Video Conferencing Solution

Communication is very crucial to continue the operation, whether it is internally or with clients, vendors etc. Remote working employees have stayed strong because of audio and video conferencing technology solutions. These solutions have made it easy for enterprises to conduct meetings. There are many applications from which enterprises can choose the one that suits their requirements in the best way.

Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet are the most adopted video conferencing solutions, These applications allow a large number of participants with quality. Some applications have landed in a controversy for not being completely safe, it is important to know the security compliance before adopting any external application.

2. Secure Messenger Applications For Efficient Group Text Communication

Some applications have made text communication fast and efficient. People might counter that there already is the e-mail form of communication that helps employees to communicate with each other, but it is not for real-time communication. People need to keep checking their email inbox. Whereas with messenger apps, people can communicate in real-time and share documents, photos, videos, and audio recording efficiently.

There are also options that allow creating groups and communicating with a large number of people. This is something that is not possible when using e-mails. These applications also follow end-to-end encryption and that is why they are also very safe.

3. Security Application

With the advancements of cybercriminals, there is a rise in malware attacks, phishing attacks etc. Remote working employees with important data and resources access may be on risk as they access the organization’s confidential data via home network or via a low secure network. Organizations must be protecting remote working employees devices and networks and ensure they are following security guidelines.

4. VPN (Virtual Private Network)

When the employee working from home it is better that they use a VPN to keep their online activity safe. Home networks can be hacked and that can reveal a lot of sensitive information about the company. Also, there is something that cannot run on the home network, and to run them it is better that employees use a VPN server. There are many benefits of using a VPN, the most important one is maintaining privacy and hiding the IP address from potential online attackers. Cybercriminals continuous trying at attacks with sophisticated methods, There might be a security risk if the employees don’t use a VPN server while they are working on their home network.

5. Employee Management Tool

Employee management tools can help employees improving their productivity. It allows employers to keep track of timings, track of work progress, performance, project trackers, and the work they do, fix deadlines for them, and also set reminders. These tools can be used to take attendance, check employee progress, assign new tasks, and even set milestones. These milestones can be used to reward them in the future that can improve their motivation and motivated employees to work more than other employees. Employee management tools make it easy to streamline work and keep the workflow on. There is nothing that can automate business processes like employee management tools.

6. Cloud Technology

Cloud computing is gaining more and more demand in today’s business environment. Adopting could help companies grow fast and competitive. Many organizations are transitioning to the cloud for easy access from anywhere 24×7.

Conclusion

These were the ways in which technology can help remote working employees to maintain workflow. These are also the reasons that most of the IT and other companies have kept all their business processes active and made profit in the times when everything is on halt.
