Pure Storage, an advanced data storage platform, announced the expansion of its strategic partnership with Micron Technology, Inc., a memory and storage solution to furnish advanced memory and storage solutions tailored for hyperscaler environments.
This partnership leverages Micron’s G9 QLC NAND technology to develop high-capacity, energy-efficient storage solutions essential for future DirectFlash Module products.
The partnership builds on a decade-long integration of Micron’s cutting-edge NAND technologies with Pure Storage systems, covering seven generations and culminating in the qualification of Micron’s G8 QLC NAND for use in Pure Storage’s 150TB DirectFlash Module.
The joining of Micron’s NAND capabilities with Pure Storage’s data storage platform generates a robust solution characterized by massive drive capacities, superior performance, and low latency. This partnership not only facilitates architectural design but also delivers significant improvements in energy efficiency.
In current data centers, three crucial concerns factor into every storage solution — energy efficiency, storage density, and performance. With the elaboration of data centers, they remain space-constrained, making every square foot valuable. Operators face ongoing pressures to maximize storage density while minimizing physical footprint.
