New Delhi, India, 4 February 2026: Pinterest announces the appointment of Damian Kim as VP APAC Enterprise Sales, reinforcing the company’s commitment to accelerating growth across the Asia Pacific region. Kim will join Pinterest at the end of February 2026, reporting to Cecile van Steenberge, VP, International Enterprise Sales.

Pinterest has tapped digital media veteran Damian Kim to lead its Asia Pacific enterprise sales division, a strategic move signalling the social platform’s intensified push into one of the world’s fastest-growing digital markets. Kim, set to assume the VP APAC Enterprise Sales role later this month, will report directly to Cecile van Steenberge, who oversees international enterprise sales.

The appointment comes as Pinterest doubles down on international markets, posting robust gains in both user engagement and revenue. Monthly active users climbed 16% while revenue outside North America surged 66%, according to recent company analytics. With more than four in five Pinterest users now based beyond North American shores, the Asia Pacific region has emerged as a critical battleground for capturing advertiser dollars and forging deeper commercial partnerships.

Kim’s mandate: build and scale Pinterest’s enterprise operation across a region where the company already counts major brands, including Japanese consumer goods giants Kao and Panasonic, as well as South Korean automaker Kia and Australian travel firm Flight Centre, among its advertising partners. The hire reflects Pinterest’s broader strategy to cement regional leadership and crack open new revenue streams in diverse markets spanning Tokyo to Sydney.

“APAC is a critical region for Pinterest’s continued international growth, with diverse user communities and a sophisticated advertiser ecosystem,” Cecile van Steenberge, VP, International Enterprise Sales at Pinterest, said in a statement. “Pinterest’s strengths in visual discovery and shopping align closely with how consumers across APAC plan, explore, and buy. Damian brings deep leadership experience and a strong track record of building high-performing teams.”

Damian Kim has a 20-year track record navigating the region’s digital landscape. He spent his most recent tenure at Meta as Managing Director and Head of Product for Asia Pacific, championing a localized “in APAC for APAC” product philosophy. Before that, he held senior positions across Meta’s Singapore and Southeast Asian operations and steered Microsoft’s Surface hardware business and original equipment manufacturer partnerships throughout the region.

Throughout his career, Kim has built a reputation for launching new business units, orchestrating cross-functional teams, and engineering go-to-market strategies that deliver scale. Industry peers credit him with fostering collaborative partnership networks and consistently advocating for the Asia Pacific as a high-potential growth frontier rather than a secondary market.

“APAC is one of the most exciting and diverse regions in the world, where culture, creativity, and commerce move incredibly fast,” Damian Kim said. “I’m thrilled to join Pinterest at a pivotal moment in its international growth journey. Pinterest is building a uniquely positive platform that brings inspiration and action together, and I’m excited to work with teams across APAC to leverage Pinterest to deliver advertising strategies.”
