Paytm today launches a solar energy-powered soundbox for Merchants, specially designed for small merchants in India, like street vendors, hawkers, shop owners, and artists. It has a solar panel on top, that charges in the sunlight. It comes with two batteries: one charge using solar energy, and the other uses regular electricity. It connects to 4G for fast use.
“The Paytm Solar Soundbox is a testament to our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and financial inclusion. With this Made in India device, we continue to pioneer transformative solutions that shape the future of payments in the country,” Said Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & CEO of Paytm.
India’s first Solar Power Soundbox is unique, because it uses very little sunlight to charge quickly and can provide power for an entire day. This means that small shop owners can accept payments without interruptions, even if there are power issues.
If the solar battery runs out, just a few hours of sun can recharge it to work for a whole day. The battery charged by electricity can last up to 10 days without needing a recharge. This helps reduce the need for constant charging and supports using green energy.
A great feature is its loudspeaker that confirms payments with clear audio, even in busy places. The device can give audio notifications in 11 different languages, making it easy for many shop owners and customers to use.
The Paytm Solar Soundbox is made in India and is a friendly choice for the environment. It uses solar energy, which is a cheap and sustainable source of power. This is especially helpful for merchants in rural areas or places that do not have steady electricity. With this device, we aim to help more merchants, make money services available to everyone, and encourage green practices across the country.
