At Computex 2024, AMD announced the launch of AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series Processors, which enable transformational AI experiences for Windows Copilot+ PCs. The processors feature the world’s most powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU).

It will pave the way for a future full of AI-infused computing directly on your laptop. They are Copilot+ Ready and designed for next-gen AI laptops to support advanced AI experiences.

The AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series features up to 12 high-performance “Zen 5” cores and 24 threads, providing lightning-fast performance in elite ultrathin laptops.

It features the AMD XDNA 2 architecture and a dedicated AI engine to enhance local AI workload processing efficiency, resulting in improved productivity, content generation, and workflow automation while maintaining impressive power efficiency.

In terms of graphics, the processors are built-in with the latest AMD RDNA 3.5 architecture and AMD Radeon 800M Series graphics. This combination ensures fluid framerates and AAA gaming experiences, delivering console-class gaming performance.

AMD is teaming up with industry partners to speed up the next wave of AI computing development. OEM partners like Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, and MSI are introducing more AI-enabled PCs featuring AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, and ecosystem partners like Microsoft and Zoom are collaborating with AMD to push the boundaries of AI capabilities in PCs.

AMD is also introducing next-gen AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors for desktops, further solidifying its position as a leader in performance and efficiency for gamers, content creators, and prosumers. These new processors add to a broad portfolio of products powering AI in the cloud, edge, client, and beyond.

“The AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors push the limits on what’s possible, featuring the fastest APU performance, said Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group at AMD. “We are also excited to introduce the Ryzen 9000 series, the world’s most powerful desktop processors for gamers and creators.”
