Tata Power has crossed 1.5 lakh rooftop solar installations across India, making it India’s No. 1 rooftop solar provider. The total capacity from these rooftop installations is now about 3 GW. Tata Power Solar Rooftop, part of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), has expanded its presence in more than 700+ cities across India.

Some benefits of using Tata Power Solar Rooftop, marketed as Tata Power Solaroof, include saving 80% on electricity bills, a 25-year warranty on solar panels, and a payback period of 4-7 years. This system also protects against yearly increases in electricity prices, which usually go up by 3-5%. Additionally, the company makes ALMM-approved solar Panels in its factory in Tamil Nadu.

Tata Power offers flexible financing options through more than 20 financial partners, including public and private banks, making it easier for people to adopt solar power energy. The company also supports the government’s efforts to promote solar energy through programs like the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana and its own ‘GharGhar Solar’ campaign.

With a strong presence across India, Tata Power has a network of over 575 channel partners in more than 300 cities and more than 225 service partners in over 400 cities.

This year, Tata Power Solar Roof has launched an awareness campaign about rooftop solar energy in India. Besides focusing on solar rooftops, Tata Power is also investing in solar manufacturing, which helps strengthen the solar industry. With a strong manufacturing base in India, Tata Power has the capacity to produce 4.3 GW of solar cells and modules, along with over 3 GW in rooftop solar installations, highlighting its role in speeding up India’s shift to clean energy.
