Oracle and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) have teamed up to help 400,000 students in Andhra Pradesh learn new skills.
Through this collaboration, these students will have access to digital training materials and basic certifications to prepare them for future jobs. They will benefit from more than 300 hours of learning programs covering various technologies like Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AI services, Data Science, and more. The training will be organized into easy-to-follow learning paths.
G. Ganesh Kumar, the Managing Director and CEO of APSSDC, emphasized that this partnership is a significant step towards enhancing the digital skills of young people in Andhra Pradesh. He expressed the goal of creating a highly skilled workforce in the IT field.
The training program will be available for free online through Oracle MyLearn, which is a training platform used by millions of learners globally. The program offers basic training in cloud technologies, followed by professional training and certifications. It will also help students learn important concepts like AI, machine learning, data science, and blockchain. Besides professional certifications, students can earn badges that show they are ready for specific job roles. This helps employers find qualified candidates more easily and supports job placement efforts in the state.
Shailender Kumar, a senior executive at Oracle, stated that they are proud to partner with APSSDC to empower youth with skills necessary for the future and support India’s economic growth. He noted that as AI changes the job market, continuous learning and upskilling are increasingly important. Oracle University aims to provide top-notch training that helps students build valuable skills, show their expertise, and achieve job stability.
Oracle University offers access to some of the best technology experts worldwide to assist with cloud technology training and certification.
