Microsoft and Lumen Technologies, a communications service provider, announced a partnership to use the Microsoft Cloud to further drive Lumen’s digital transformation. In addition, Microsoft has chosen Lumen to expand its network capacity and capability to meet the growing demand for its data centers.
Lumen will migrate and modernize its workloads to Microsoft Azure and use Microsoft Entra solutions to safeguard access and prevent identity attacks.
By using Microsoft’s cloud and AI technology, Lumen can lower its overall technology costs, get rid of old systems and isolated information, improve its services, and develop new solutions.

Lumen’s Private Connectivity Fabric is a custom network that will strengthen the connectivity capabilities between Microsoft’s data centers by providing the network capacity, performance, stability, and speed customers need as data demands increase.
