IBM is working with Oracle to use the power of watsonx, IBM’s flagship portfolio of AI products, on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This partnership aims to increase businesses’ productivity and efficiency by using AI. AI agents are becoming essential tools because they provide a simple way to complete tasks and make it easier for companies to use AI throughout their operations.
“AI can create the most value when it works well across a whole organization,” said Greg Pavlik, a top executive at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. “IBM and Oracle have been working together for many years to help our customers succeed. Our expanded partnership will help customers transform their businesses with AI.”
Watsonx Orchestrate for Multi-Agent Workflows To help customers build and manage AI agents easily across different systems, IBM will make its watsonx Orchestrate AI tools available on OCI in July. This will support multiple agents working together with both Oracle and other applications. The first area they are focusing on is human resources. The watsonx Orchestrate agents will use AI on OCI, where many customers store their data and applications. IBM agents will work on watsonx Orchestrate using Red Hat OpenShift on OCI. This allows customers to meet specific privacy and regulatory requirements. They can also run the agents on their own servers or across different cloud services for flexibility.
IBM Granite Models on OCI Data Science
Oracle plans to offer the IBM Granite AI models to give customers more options for AI models through its OCI Data Science platform. These models will be available later this year and will help businesses access and use AI easily. “By combining our AI with Oracle’s services, we are making it simpler for businesses to use AI agents across their operations,” said Kareem Yusuf, an IBM executive. “Our partnership with Oracle shows how we can help clients easily scale their AI efforts.”
IBM Software on OCI Oracle and IBM also plan to offer the IBM Envizi ESG Suite on OCI, starting with a release in Saudi Arabia within the next year. IBM Envizi helps businesses manage and report data related to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues. IBM’s watsonx.ai is now certified to work on OCI, which means customers can use it for its high performance on both physical and virtual machines using Red Hat OpenShift. This will help organizations create and manage AI services right where their applications and data are.
Expanded Oracle Services from IBM Consulting: IBM is introducing new consulting services to help customers effectively use AI agents across various platforms for better business processes. IBM Consulting will assist in building and managing AI agents, both from Oracle and their own offerings. They will also guide businesses on how AI agents can change their operations and workforce. IBM has a long history of helping businesses transform using OCI and Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, and it has built over 38 years of partnership in technology and services.
