Accenture has agreed to acquire CyberCX, a prominent cybersecurity firm in Australia. The Australian Financial Review values the deal at approximately $650 million USD. This acquisition is the biggest in Accenture’s history for cybersecurity and the largest-ever cybersecurity deal in the Asia-Pacific region.

CyberCX helps both private businesses and public organizations protect against cyber threats. This deal will help Accenture strengthen its role in this area, allowing it to build resilience for businesses, protect important infrastructure, and adapt to complex security challenges as threats increase.

CyberCX was founded in Melbourne, Australia, in 2019. It has grown to be one of the largest cybersecurity firms in the Asia Pacific, with about 1,400 employees. CyberCX also has advanced security operation centers in Australia and New Zealand and offices in London and New York, combining local expertise with global reach.

CyberCX also has strategic ecosystem partnerships with major cybersecurity players such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike, and has earned recognition as one of the region’s top managed service/system integrators

“CyberCX and Accenture share the goal of helping our clients safely manage changes, speed up business updates, and become stronger against new threats,” said Paolo Dal Cin, a leader in Accenture Cybersecurity. “By combining Accenture’s advanced AI technology with CyberCX’s strong presence and trusted government relationships, we can help clients in the Asia Pacific turn cybersecurity into a benefit for their business.”

Peter Burns, who heads Accenture’s operations in Australia and New Zealand, added, “The demand for cybersecurity services is growing fast as businesses become more connected and face new threats. As AI and Quantum technologies develop, the need for responsible control is also increasing. CyberCX has strong capabilities and trusted connections with government and key organizations, and when combined with Accenture’s experience and innovative solutions, we will be better positioned to meet our clients’ increasing needs.”

John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, said, “We are very proud of what we have built at CyberCX, becoming one of the top cybersecurity service providers in the area. Joining Accenture allows us to combine our talented team with Accenture’s global strengths and provide even better services to clients across the Asia Pacific region. Our shared goal of helping clients stay ahead of threats and become more resilient makes this partnership very powerful.”
