KnowBe4, a cybersecurity firm, has unveiled a new suite of AI-native security agents created to automate and enhance human risk management, called Advanced AI Defense Agents for Phishing Mitigation and Human Cyber Risk Assessment (AIDA) with the aim to streamline and improve the approach to human risk management.

AIDA uses a multi-faceted strategy that integrates AI technologies to deliver personalized and adaptive training solutions, aiming to alter user behavior significantly. At the core of this suite is the SmartRisk Agent, which harnesses end-user behavioral data collected from KnowBe4’s diverse product range to assess cyber risk among individuals quantitatively.

This agent generates multidimensional Risk Scores, facilitating visibility into potential vulnerabilities in individual users, teams, and the organization.

“AIDA represents not just an incremental improvement in KnowBe4’s human risk management framework, but a significant leap forward,” stated Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4. “This advanced suite empowers security professionals to effectively anticipate and respond to AI-driven cyber threats by quantifying human risk, thus enhancing threat mitigation strategies tailored to the evolving risk landscape.”

The initial release of AIDA comprises four primary agents:

1. Automated Training Agent: Utilizing AI, this agent analyzes 316 indicators across 37 factors in seven knowledge domains to assess user’s learning trajectories, roles, risk scores, behavioral patterns, and language preferences. This analysis enables AIDA to assign the most pertinent and engaging training content automatically.

2. Template Generation Agent: Through the application of generative AI, AIDA produces realistic phishing templates that emulate current attack methodologies. The frameworks for Social Engineering Indicators, or red flags, are derived from the NIST Phish Scale Framework.

3. Knowledge Refresher Agent: This component offers targeted, bite-sized refreshers on critical security concepts at optimal intervals, ensuring that end users can effectively integrate learned principles into their daily operations.

4. Policy Quiz Agent: This agent generates customized quizzes tailored to an organization’s security and compliance policies, bolstering user understanding and adherence.
