Western Union has announced that Vince Tallent will be the new Senior Vice President and Head of the Asia Pacific region. Vince Tallent has extensive experience in the financial technology (FinTech) and telecommunications sectors. His work includes developing apps that allow in-app purchases, data transfers, marketplaces, card services, and new digital banking solutions in both advanced and emerging markets.
Giovanni Angelini, who is President of Western Union for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific, said, “Vince’s leadership and experience in improving technology-based financial services will be very important as we strengthen our position in Asia Pacific. His success in growing businesses will help us explore the market opportunities in the region, expand our services, and provide new solutions to our customers.”
Before joining Western Union, Tallent was with tiqmo, a fintech app in Saudi Arabia that helps customers across the Middle East and North Africa. He started as the Group COO and CFO and became the CEO in 2022. Tallent also held important leadership roles in various fintech and technology companies in Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Europe, where he helped these companies grow and innovate. “

Vince Tallent has an MBA in Advanced Finance & Corporate Strategy from Kingston University in London, where he also received an Honorary Doctorate for his significant work in business, entrepreneurship, and philanthropy. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in London.
