Sophos partners with Capsule, an insurance broker, to offer businesses cyber insurance if they use Sophos cybersecurity solutions through a managed services provider (MSP). Customers using Sophos will get lower insurance costs, an easy application process and full coverage, and fast access to Sophos’s help if an incident happens.
MSPs can also better support their clients with this trusted insurance option. Cyber insurance demand are rising, but many small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) find it hard to go through long application processes and complicated requirements. Most seek help from their service providers, with 99% of MSPs noticing more requests for help with meeting cyber insurance needs, according to research by Sophos. To tackle these issues, Sophos and Capsule are working together to offer a solution made for MSPs and their clients.

Together, Capsule and Sophos aim to raise awareness of cyber risks and close the gaps in coverage. Capsule is a dependable insurance partner for Sophos in the UK, known for making Sophos cybersecurity measures insurable, providing better coverage, and saving on premiums.
“Cybersecurity and cyber insurance need to work together to help businesses reduce risks,” said Liam Green, co-founder and COO of Capsule. “Our partnership is based on a simple idea: if businesses take steps to reduce their cyber risks, insurance should reward them. We believe insurance should make things easier, not harder. This means making policies easier to access, matching coverage to existing protections, and being reliable when it’s most needed. By combining Sophos’s top security knowledge with our broking skills, we are building a cyber insurance solution that meets clients’ real needs — providing confidence, continuity, and a reliable team ready to help when issues arise.”
“Sophos is already the favorite cybersecurity provider for MSPs in the UK, offering one of the most complete ranges of cybersecurity solutions,” said Chris Bell, senior vice president at Sophos. “Through this partnership, we are enhancing the advantages for customers who use Sophos solutions with an MSP and making it easier for MSPs to support their clients’ cyber insurance needs. Automatic discounts for using Sophos cybersecurity features, including MDR, reward businesses for being proactive. Plus, offering support when a cyber incident happens gives customers peace of mind and reduces any disruption.”
According to Sophos cyber claim research, using MDR helps reduce cyber risks and speeds up recovery from attacks. On average, those using MDR claim 97.5% less than those who use only basic endpoint protection. Additionally, nearly half (47%) of MDR users managed to fully recover from a cyberattack within a week, compared to just 18% of those relying only on endpoint protection and 27% of those using other protection solutions.
