TCL Electronics, a Chinese consumer electronics brand, has expanded its strategic alliance with Google TV at CES 2025. The company will launch an advanced range of Google TVs featuring Gemini capabilities in 2025, aiming to revolutionize home entertainment with immersive and intelligent functions.
With the Gemini model and new hardware capabilities, it is engineered to enhance the user’s entertainment experience while repositioning the TV as a central hub for smart home management.
With the integration of advanced proximity sensors, the TV will seamlessly transition from a static display of ambient imagery to a dynamic information dashboard upon user entry, with personalized content, including personalized information overview with the weather, latest news headlines, and even family calendars.
The next-gen voice assistant, equipped with Gemini capabilities, has been designed to interpret natural language more effectively, enabling it to give nuanced responses and streamline smart home controls. The far-field microphones in these new models will facilitate “hands-free” voice commands, allowing users to interact with their TVs from anywhere in the room, independent of the remote control.
“TCL and Google share the same pioneering spirit and commitment to continually enhance the user experience,” said Shaoyong Zhang, Senior Vice President of TCL Industries and CEO of TCL Electronics, “The next milestone in our successful partnership with Google will see another example of how TCL aims to Inspire Greatness.”
