HCLSoftware has signed an agreement with the Swiss Network in India, represented by the Embassy of Switzerland, the Swiss Business Hub India, and Swissnex in India, to join the Indo-Swiss Innovation Platform.
The Platform, established alongside the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) framework, sets the foundation for bilateral collaboration in strengthening digital infrastructure and strategically boosting Indo-Swiss collaboration. The platform aims to improve cooperation between India and Switzerland, especially in building better digital systems.
The MoU focuses on solving key challenges in the public sector by promoting digital transformations that help citizens. It looks at areas like e-governance, healthcare, education technology (edtech), and agriculture technology (agritech).
This partnership involves people from the government, academic institutions, startups, and businesses, creating a space for innovation and the sharing of ideas between Switzerland and India.
Mrs. Maya Tissafi, the Ambassador of Switzerland to India, said, “This agreement shows our commitment to building international partnerships that encourage real innovation in the public sector. By combining our strengths in technology and governance, we can find solutions that benefit citizens and set new standards for international cooperation in digital changes.”
Jonas Brunschwig, CEO and Consul General of Swissnex in India, stated, “HCLSoftware joining the Indo-Swiss Innovation Platform will speed up innovation in GovTech. This partnership will provide real opportunities for startups, researchers, and technology companies in both countries to create solutions to public governance challenges and improve digital infrastructure.”
