San Francisco, January 15, 2026 :Cloudflare,Inc, the connectivity cloud leader known for its global network and security services, today announced the acquisition of Human Native, a UK-based AI data marketplace focused on transforming digital content into high-quality, AI-ready data. The deal, terms of which were not disclosed, marks a strategic expansion of Cloudflare’s offerings for AI developers and content owners alike.
“Content creators deserve full control over their work, whether they want to write for humans or optimize for AI,” said Matthew Prince, co-founder & CEO of Cloudflare. “Last year we gave publishers and creators the tools to control which bots can access their content, but the real goal has always been to help create a new economic model that actually works for the next phase of the Internet. The Human Native team will help us accelerate the next phase, where we build the tools that allow content to be discovered, priced, and purchased through transparent channels. This acquisition is about building the tools needed to protect the longevity of the open Internet.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Under the agreement, Human Native will join Cloudflare’s ecosystem to accelerate the development of tools that help content creators and publishers structure, index and monetize their work for use in AI training and inference. Cloudflare says the integration will make it easier and faster for AI developers to discover, access and purchase reliable data while giving creators more control over how their content is used and priced.
Founded in 2024 and backed by UK venture capital firms LocalGlobe and Mercuri, Human Native has developed technology and expertise to connect rights holders with AI developers through transparent channels. The team brings experience from prominent technology companies, including DeepMind, Google, Figma and Bloomberg, a combination Cloudflare expects will strengthen its capabilities in AI data discovery, pricing and marketplace infrastructure.
