AMD has named Ariel Kelman as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), the company announced yesterday. The appointment is effective immediately and places Kelman in charge of AMD’s global marketing operations.
In his new role, Ariel Kelman will oversee key aspects of AMD’s marketing strategy, including brand development, corporate communications, events, developer relations and go-to-market planning. He will report directly to Ruth Cotter, AMD’s Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
AMD is emphasizing the appointment as a strategic step to strengthen engagement with customers, partners and developers worldwide. Ariel Kelman will work closely with the company’s executive leadership to support AMD’s continued expansion in competitive technology markets.
“Ariel Kelman is a proven marketing leader with deep experience building brands, driving marketing impact at scale and connecting innovation to customer value,” Cotter said in a statement. She noted Kelman’s role will be pivotal as AMD grows its portfolio across data center, embedded systems, client computing and gaming segments.
Ariel Kelman brings more than 20 years of experience in global marketing leadership at major technology firms. Before joining AMD, he served as President and Chief Marketing Officer at Salesforce, where he led that company’s worldwide marketing organization. His background also includes senior marketing roles at Amazon Web Services and Oracle, where he helped guide marketing strategies during significant growth phases.
