‘Transformation is not a future event, but a present activity’ a well-known quote has today become a reality owing to the current COVID-19 pandemic onslaught. In regular terminology, transformation is any significant change in form, nature, or appearance. At the moment, if we look around us, we can see transformation evidently; individuals, organizations as well as industries have all transformed modifying the traditional methodologies in order to fit into the current scenario. In this article, I have described the key to decode a newer tomorrow.

The Pre-COVID-19 outbreak, the world was accustomed to functioning in a certain way. However, Post-COVID-19 business entities might have a difficult time adapting to remote functioning. The dynamics of business have had to undergo major changes recently, which prove why it is important for companies/industries to be prepared and bring in required modifications for the future. Therefore, there exists a need to Decode the Newer Tomorrow.

It would be based on the dexterity of the organizations that will be a major reason enabling organizations to tide over this COVID-19 crisis. It would further allow organizations to use early insights, realign policies and processes, and train their organization personnel to focus on challenges. The Newer Tomorrow would highlight a noticeable paradigm shift in the business operations, there would be specific changes related to employee health security and remote work culture, which is expected to rise in the near future.

The requirement of efficient team collaboration will be of most importance, remote working will be the new normal. There would occur a need to digitize every aspect of a business process that will be beneficial in the longer run. Collaborative solutions, however, would be the need of the hour, highlighting the paradigm shifts in business operations.

Cloud computing will become the core for most organizations in times to come; the post-COVID-19 phase would witness a growth in this area as it is affordable, easy to use, and also highly customizable. There is a certain amount of uncertainty that comes with digitization, and it strictly refers to data security. Time and again leading organizations have made it to the headlines owing to data breach and it becomes immensely important for organizations to choose collaborative solutions carefully enough to not end up as the victim.

To decode Newer tomorrow, we need to understand the present and act in the future, we need to understand the needs of tomorrow. The future lies on teams collaborating with 100 percent dedication, for any business, the employees are family. We need to work on our successes remotely, from merging to diverging, hiring as well as optimizing resources; organizations must know and be well-equipped to carry these out remotely enough in the future.

The key to decoding a newer tomorrow lies as mentioned:

1. Digitization

Since the workplaces are virtual, the challenges are unprecedented, these challenges can be easily outpaced with digitization. But effective digitization boils down to the need for a collaborative solution all across the globe, be it small, medium, or large.

2. Remote Collaborative Work

Due to COVID-19, remote working is the current need of the hour, with the employees placed remotely; achieving goals has become a task. However, as daunting as it may sound, remote collaboration can be achieved successfully with the right tools.

3. Innovation Before Implication

There is a new challenge every day, but with new challenges, there arises a need for newer ideas and solutions. There is an increased dependence on the IT sector to innovate and equip us for what is ahead.

4. Vigilance and Readiness

With security breaches and malfunctioning, it is imperative that we are vigilant and, on our toes, to face any unknown challenges.

5. Be Open to Change

With emerging risks and dwindling of industries, we must learn to diversify, adapt, and figure out what suits our needs the best as well as manage our TCO.

The world once we knew has changed, more businesses are choosing to function remotely with each passing day. Definitions of enterprise growth and team collaboration are changing unceasingly. A new tomorrow awaits us, with more new challenges as entities transform the way they previously functioned. The world is ready to adapt a major technological shift, it will be ‘The New Tomorrow’.
