Salesforce has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Momentum, a privately held provider of conversational insights and revenue orchestration technologies, according to official filings and company statements. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of Salesforce’s 2027 fiscal year, subject to customary closing conditions.
Under the terms outlined in the announcement, Salesforce will integrate Momentum’s universal ingestion engine into its existing enterprise offerings, including Agentforce 360 and Slackbot. Momentum’s software is designed to capture and analyse unstructured voice and video data from third-party meeting and communication channels such as Zoom and Google Meet and deliver structured data back into workflow systems.
In a prepared statement, Steve Fisher, President and Chief Product Officer at Salesforce, said the acquisition will extend the company’s ability to derive actionable insights from customer conversations wherever they occur. Santiago Suarez Ordoñez, CEO and co-founder of Momentum, described the transaction as an opportunity to “close the loop” between conversational data and go-to-market execution.
Salesforce has pursued a series of acquisitions since 2024 to bolster its AI and data management capabilities. The company’s strategy has involved both large-scale purchases, such as the planned $8 billion acquisition of data management provider Informatica, and smaller technology bets in the AI and workflow automation space.
Over the past year, Salesforce has also moved to add agentic AI and conversational intelligence capabilities through purchases of companies such as Qualified and Cimulate, signalling a broader push toward embedding automation directly into sales, marketing, and commerce workflows.
Terms of the Momentum acquisition, including purchase price and financial details, were not disclosed in Salesforce’s announcement or regulatory filings. Completion of the deal will depend on customary closing conditions, including regulatory and contractual approvals.
