Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced the appointment of KC McClure to its Board of Directors. KC McClure is a former Chief Financial Officer of Accenture. She would also join key oversight committees, including the Audit and Finance Committee.
Her appointment expands AMD’s financial oversight capabilities at a time when the company is investing heavily in high-performance computing and AI technologies. The move will deepen financial and governance expertise as the semiconductor major accelerates its growth in high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
About KC McClure
KC McClure is a seasoned corporate finance executive with more than three decades of leadership experience in global business. She spent 37+ years at Accenture, one of the world’s largest professional services and consulting firms. McClure served as Accenture’s Chief Financial Officer for roughly five years.
Before becoming CFO, she held a series of key finance leadership positions, including Senior Managing Director for Business and Commercial Finance, overseeing finance operations across Accenture’s markets and services. And Head of Investor Relations, where she managed communications with shareholders and analysts, earning recognition for Accenture’s investor relations performance.
This long tenure gave her deep exposure to financial operations, accounting, investor relations, strategic planning, and corporate governance across multiple markets and service lines.
She was appointed as an independent director on the board of Goldman Sachs, joining key committees such as Audit, Governance, and Risk.
McClure holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and business administration from Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business. She currently serves on the Smeal College of Business Board of Visitors and on the board of Goldman Sachs.
McClure’s track record in driving financial discipline and investor engagement at a major global services firm is a key reason AMD brought her onto its board.
