HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, announced its intention to acquire Zeenea, a France-based metadata management software provider, to enhance its Data & Analytics business (Actian) for a total enterprise valuation of €24 million. The acquisition is expected to close by September 2024.
Zeenea provides an intelligent data discovery platform that supports metadata management applications from search and exploration to data catalog, lineage, governance, compliance, and enterprise data marketplace.
Zeenea is powered by an adaptive knowledge graph that allows companies to democratize data access and generate a 360-degree view of their assets and the associations between them.

The HCLSoftware Actian Data Platform has grown strongly in Hybrid Data Management and Integration over the last few years. By integrating metadata management, data catalog, and governance capabilities into it, customers can also consume it on this platform.
