Atlassian Corporation launched the “The State of Teams 2024” report. In this report, they address the leaders who want to build high-performing teams through effective collaboration and the difficulties they face in achieving a modern work process. This year’s survey revealed that 76% of Indian knowledge workers agree that their team is pulled in too many directions.
82% of Indian knowledge workers agree that progress would be easy to achieve with more specific goals and fewer tasks.
83% of Indian knowledge workers believe responding quickly to messages is more important than making progress on their top priorities.
77% of Indian knowledge workers say they are overwhelmed by the number of daily notifications and messages they receive.
66% of Indian knowledge workers struggle to locate information effectively despite having a wide network at their jobs.
63% of Indian professionals have experienced a situation where they were already working on a project and later discovered that another team was also working on the same thing.
63% of knowledge Indian workers find collaboration challenging due to different work planning and tracking methods used by teams within their companies.
68% of Indian knowledge workers agree that AI knowledge is important, but they don’t know how to apply it in their daily work.
Annie Dean, Global Head of Team Anywhere at Atlassian, said, “Great teams develop consistent practices and constantly improve their work. And we care a lot about validating those new ways of working. Our results show that high-performing teams build the right foundations for teamwork by making time to improve their processes, practices, and tools.”
“These new ways of working need to prioritize a reality where work does not happen shoulder to shoulder. The internet and AI will start to solve these problems for us. If we can focus, get clear on what matters, and build the right teams, we can deliver creative solutions to our problems – at a much faster speed,” she added.
Atlassian surveyed 5,000 knowledge workers across India, U.S., Australia, Germany, and France, as well as 100 Fortune 500 executives.
