Chuck Robbins, Chairman, and CEO, announced in a blog post that Eyal Dagan, who has headed the Common Hardware Group since 2020, will join Cisco in a significant new capacity as the company’s new Executive Vice President of Strategic Projects.
Chuck Robbins also announced that Martin Lund, a seasoned professional with an extensive background in fostering innovation and expanding businesses in the networking and semiconductor sectors, is joining Cisco as the executive vice president of Common Hardware Group.
Prior to his tenure at Cisco, Martin Lund served as Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s Azure for Operators, where he spearheaded the delivery of Azure-based solutions for voice, packet core, public and private 5G, and artificial intelligence operations, showcasing his exceptional leadership and strategic prowess.
Before his time at Microsoft, Martin Lund was the CEO of cloud-native communications software startup Metaswitch Networks, a role he held until the company’s acquisition. He also held executive positions at Cadence Design Systems and Intel, and spent 12 years at Broadcom, where he was instrumental in establishing the Network Switching brand and expanding the company’s reach to over $1 billion.
With his wealth of experience in strategy development, global team management, and growth leadership, Martin Lund’s deep understanding of networking and artificial intelligence (AI) positions him as the ideal leader for this crucial aspect of our business, where these technologies are becoming increasingly intertwined.
