Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a major IT services company, launched a new service, ‘Chiplet-based System Engineering Services’. This service is designed for semiconductor companies to improve how they design chips. Chiplets are small parts of larger chips, and using them helps companies create faster and powerful processors.
The demand for advanced chips is increasing worldwide. This launch comes at a crucial point for India. The country’s semiconductor market is worth about $45–50 billion and is expected to grow to $100–110 billion by 2030.
TCS’s ‘Chiplet-based System Engineering Services’ will help both Indian and international organisations by providing top-level expertise in chip design. The semiconductor industry is changing. Simply making chips smaller by fitting more transistors on them is no longer enough.
Now, companies are moving towards using chiplets, which allow them to mix and use different small chips together. It will help companies speed up their product launches and reduce costs. With the high demand for chips in technology like AI, cloud computing, smartphones, electric vehicles, and connected devices, this shift in design is happening at a very important time.
V Rajanna, President of Technology, Software and Services at TCS, explained, “Semiconductors are essential technology that drives new digital innovations. TCS Chiplet-based System Engineering services will help semiconductor companies make chiplets quicker and more efficiently, allowing for more flexibility and faster delivery. Our investments in new technology and knowledge of the semiconductor field make us the right partner for large-scale innovations.”
