Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has renewed and expanded its contract with Weatherford International (WFRD), an oilfield service company based in North America, for another five years.
In this new agreement, TCS will use its expertise in automation, artificial intelligence (AI), and digital technology to help improve Weatherford’s business operations. The focus of this partnership will be to make operations more efficient in important areas like finance, supply chains, and human resources.
TCS plans to bring in advanced AI solutions to make Weatherford’s finance and accounting tasks easier, lower costs, and allow for better growth.
This will help Weatherford become more adaptable and improve its financial stability over the long term. This new contract builds on seven years of working together, during which TCS helped Weatherford cut costs by about 50% in key operations.
Girish Saligram, the President and CEO of Weatherford International, mentioned that with the rapid changes in the energy sector and the need for more efficiency, this renewed partnership with TCS is very important. He emphasized that using AI and improving processes will help Weatherford perform better and adapt to new challenges in the industry.
