Tata Technologies has launched the 3rd edition of its flagship engineering hackathon, InnoVent, with the support of Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS). This year’s theme is “Innovating the Future of Smart Mobility.”
It invites engineering students from all over India to use new technologies like AI (Artificial Intelligence), IoT (Internet of Things), Cloud Computing, and AR/VR (Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality) to create solutions for challenges in the transportation field.
Students can submit projects related to different areas of mobility, such as smart vehicles, AI-powered technologies in cars, systems for self-driving cars, sustainable transportation, and connected communication.
The hackathon is open to 3rd and 4th-year engineering students in India and encourages participation from women engineers and people with disabilities.
The evaluation process will have three steps: initial reviews of the projects, virtual presentations of ideas, and final demonstrations. The best teams will get support from Tata Technologies to develop their projects further. Experts from Tata Technologies will mentor the top teams, while AWS will provide access to its cloud services and offer workshops to help teams improve their skills. Projects will be judged based on their diversity, creativity, practical aspects, and impact, with a focus on creating physical prototypes. There will be special appreciation for projects that show how AI can be used in real-time decision-making and teamwork in mobility.
The top teams can win cash prizes totaling INR 4.5 Lakhs, internship opportunities at Tata Technologies, and special awards for the most creative projects and innovative prototypes. More information about the InnoVent program can be found at https://www.tatatechnologies.com/innovent/, and the deadline for submitting projects is 30th July 2025.
