Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI) has opened a new Green Energy Skill Centre in Rohini, New Delhi. This Centre will provide training in renewable energy technologies, such as solar power systems, energy storage, and electrical safety.
Mr. Santosh Kumar Sarangi, the Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and Dr. Praveer Sinha, the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Power, officially opened the Centre. The event also saw participation from senior officials from various organizations, including the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, NITI Aayog, and Tata Power.
TPSDI offers over 200 courses in various areas, including green energy, safety, power transmission and distribution, and soft skills.
TPSDI currently operates 6 main training hubs in locations such as Mundra, Shahad, and Wayanad, and has plans to establish more hubs in cities like Delhi and Ahmedabad, making the new hub the 12th in India. They also plan to open 8 additional centres this year.
