Sophos has announced a new partnership with Halcyon, a leader in anti-ransomware technology. This teamwork will combine the strengths of both companies to help more than 300,000 organizations around the world better fight against ransomware. Through this partnership, Sophos and Halcyon will share critical information about threats in real time. This includes signs that indicate a possible attack and information about how attackers operate.
The goal is to enhance methods for preventing ransomware attacks and to help organizations respond quickly during attack. This initiative will support users of Sophos products like Endpoint powered by Intercept X and Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR), as well as Halcyon’s Anti-Ransomware Platform and other shared services.
Additionally, Halcyon and Sophos will set up protections to ensure that each company’s tools can watch over and protect the others in customers’ systems. This step will help make organizations using both solutions stronger against ransomware, ensuring their overall security strategies remain effective.
Sophos X-Ops, the company’s team focused on threat intelligence, will work alongside Halcyon’s research and engineering teams to share and use insights about ransomware across many types of attack areas.
“Ransomware methods are always changing, and the best way to defend against it is to have timely and relevant information that allows defenders to respond quickly and confidently,” said Simon Reed, chief research officer at Sophos. “By sharing insights with Halcyon, we can improve our systems and strengthen protection for all the organizations we support.”
“Halcyon is proud to partner with Sophos. Over the past four years, we have seen that Sophos is one of the best endpoint security platforms available. They have effectively disrupted many attacks, outperforming most competitors in the antivirus and security fields. Their commitment to innovation gives their customers an advantage against even the most complex attacks today,” said Jon Miller, CEO and co-founder of Halcyon.
This collaboration shows the ongoing dedication of both Sophos and Halcyon to improving cybersecurity, working together, and fighting against cybercriminals. Together, they aim to provide the intelligence needed to stay ahead of cyber attackers.
