SAP Asia Pacific has announced that Simon Davies will be the new President of the newly launched Asia Pacific region. He will start his role right away from his office in Singapore. Simon will be in charge of planning, operations, staff, sales, services, partners, and profits for SAP in Asia Pacific. Paul Marriott, who held this position for five years, will return to Europe.
SAP operates in many parts of Asia Pacific, including Australia, New Zealand, China, India, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, Simon Davies will manage over 31,000 employees in 78 offices across the region. SAP works with many important customers like NEC Corporation, Coles Group, Wipro, Fujitsu, Shiseido, Hyundai, Kia, Himalaya, Cochlear, and Japan Airlines.
Before this, Simon worked for 25 years in the IT solutions field in Asia Pacific. He has experience with major software companies, including Microsoft, Salesforce, and Oracle. Most recently, he was the Senior Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan at Splunk for over three years. He also serves on the boards of several technology companies that are preparing to go public.
