Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and SAP, a leading global company in enterprise applications and business AI, have signed a five-year agreement to promote transformation across cloud services and generative AI. SAP aims to change its operations by adopting cloud services more quickly and enhancing business AI capabilities, which will result in increased speed and efficiency.
To support this goal, TCS will assist SAP in simplifying its complex IT systems, ensuring smooth IT operations, and strengthening capabilities driven by AI.
This partnership will lead to faster development processes, reduced overall costs, and better alignment between IT and business objectives.
In the next five years, TCS will focus on transforming SAP’s IT business functions to boost innovation and improve responsiveness to business needs.
Benjamin Blau, Chief Process & Information Officer at SAP, stated, “The partnership between TCS and SAP is based on trust and excellence. TCS’s continuous commitment and collaboration to innovate across products have built a long-lasting relationship with SAP. Together, we are making our customer journeys simpler and speeding up cloud adoption.”
TCS will assist SAP in providing essential services for the complete lifecycle of IT applications as part of the enterprise IT transformation through a unified, efficient, and AI-supported model. This engagement will be supported by four strategic Centres of Excellence (CoE) for Generative AI, Business Technology Platform, Business Data Cloud, and Customer Experience.
The Generative AI CoE will focus on integrating AI features into SAP’s business processes. The Business Technology Platform CoE aims to facilitate faster development of next-generation features using low-code and no-code solutions. The Business Data Cloud CoE will work to establish a consistent data architecture for SAP to effectively utilize enterprise data, while the Customer Experience CoE will explore modern strategies to enhance customer experiences throughout the value chain. Collectively, these Centres of Excellence will enable SAP to provide solutions, technologies, and processes that empower customers, partners, and employees to discover new growth opportunities.
V Rajanna, President of Technology, Software, and Services at TCS, said, “TCS and SAP have been strategic partners for more than twenty years, helping companies navigate complex digital transformation journeys. We support the “SAP runs SAP” philosophy, and as we enter the next phase of our collaboration, we will leverage the transformative potential of AI and cloud technology to create new revenue streams, accelerate business growth, and deliver unique experiences for enterprises and their customers worldwide.”
