IBM and Pearson, a leading global education company, have announced a partnership to develop new AI-powered learning tools. These products will be designed for businesses, public organizations, and schools worldwide. The goal is to make learning more personal and effective using artificial intelligence.
To meet these needs, IBM and Pearson will use AI to create new learning tools with watsonx Orchestrate and watsonx Governance. These tools will be available for people around the world. IBM will also help Pearson make a special learning platform, similar to IBM Consulting Advantage. This platform will bring together human experts and AI to improve learning. It will help Pearson offer more products and services and make their work more efficient and data-driven.
IBM’s customers and its 270,000 employees will benefit from Pearson’s learning solutions. Some of these solutions are Credly, which helps people earn digital certificates, Faethm, which helps with workforce planning, and Pearson Professional Assessments, which gives IBM certification exams around the world.
IBM and Pearson also want to make tools to check if AI systems work well and can be trusted. They will use IBM’s knowledge of safe, reliable AI and Pearson’s experience in teaching and skills certification to do this.
Omar Abbosh, CEO of Pearson, said, “Technology is changing very fast, and it is hard for people to keep up. We need to make learning part of everyday work. This way, people can improve their skills while working, which helps them do better. With IBM, we are creating trusted AI learning tools to help everyone adapt and succeed in a changing world.”
Arvind Krishna, CEO of IBM, said, “Everyone needs new skills for the age of AI, whether they run a business or are just finishing school. IBM and Pearson are working together to bring AI-powered education to more people and companies. We are helping them learn faster and adjust to change. This partnership will also help Pearson improve how it works inside the company.”
