EdTech Startup CollegeDekho Raised $8mn Funding

Education Tech Startup CollegeDekho.com has raised $8 million funding led by GirnarSoft. Company is planing to use this funding for the expansion and will invest on technology and R&D. Including this Series B round funding, Now CollgeDekho’s total funding reached $12 million.

CollegeDekho was founded in 2015 by Ruchir Arora, Saurabh Jain, Rohit Saha, and Rajiv Singh, they are working to provide open platform that facilitate interaction between colleges and students.

According to CollegeDekho internal analytics they have partnered approx 36000 colleges in India and approx 1.2 million students has been guided by their team so far. Now CollgeDekho planing to invest more in technologies and they also plan to launch more “CollegeDekho cafes“ in Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Pune, and Mumbai.

According to Ruchir Arora, Co-Founder & CEO, CollegeDekho.com, “The current round of funding demonstrates the confidence investors have in us and in our ability to transform higher education and career decisions by using technology. It will strengthen our ability to create more engaging internal and customer-facing products.” He further added, “The company has grown by 100% every year for the last 3 years and we keep focusing on accelerating this growth. With our reach expanding nationally and internationally, we are excited to put the company on a rapid growth trajectory.”

Guided counseling services is scarce in India and only 2 – 3% students have access to this data currently.
