Visa has announced that Antony Cahill will be the new leader for its operations in Europe, pending approval from regulators. Antony Cahill is a long-time banking executive and has worked at Visa for many years. He will take over from Charlotte Hogg, who has been with Visa for eight years and is leaving for a new job opportunity. Antony Cahill will work from London and is expected to start his new position in early June.
Since 2023, Antony Cahill has been the President of Value-Added Services (VAS), where he has helped create and manage over 200 products and services that support the growth of Visa’s clients. Under his leadership, VAS has grown quickly into a $9 billion global business, with over 20% revenue growth each year.
He originally joined Visa in 2018 as the Managing Director for Visa Europe and later became the Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the region, responsible for Visa’s relationships with clients in 38 European countries. Before working at Visa, Antony Cahill was the Chief Operating Officer at National Australia Bank (NAB) for eight years, and he also spent 12 years at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ). Visa’s CEO, Ryan McInerney, expressed gratitude to Charlotte for her contributions to the company in Europe.
He stated that Antony’s experience and knowledge of the region will help Visa continue to grow its business.
