NEW DELHI, November 6, 2025 – Boeing has named Sarma Chillara as the Executive Director of Human Resources for India and South Asia.
In this position, Mr. Chillara will oversee Boeing’s human resources department for India and South Asia. He will focus on improving organizational strength, increasing workforce skills, and promoting a welcoming and successful work environment. Mr. Chillara replaces Ajay Sharma, who now serves as Executive Director of HR for Boeing Europe, Israel, and Ukraine, as well as HR Business Partner for Global Engineering.

Mr. Chillara has almost 20 years of experience in the automotive, banking, consulting, and retail industries. He comes to Boeing from Skoda Auto Volkswagen India, where he worked for more than 13 years and was a member of the Board for Human Resources. He is known for creating successful people strategies that support business change and growth.
Mr. Chillara earned an MBA in Human Resources from Welingkar Institute of Management and completed advanced leadership programs at The Wharton School and the University of Michigan. He also supports education by advising Mahindra International School and serving on Welingkar’s HR Advisory Board.
With his cross-industry background (automotive, banking, consulting, retail), he is likely well-positioned to handle diverse workforce dynamics, digital transformation in HR, and large-scale organisations.
