Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services and business solutions company, has expanded its partnership with Morrisons. Morrisons is one of the UK’s biggest supermarket chains, with 500 stores and 11 million customers every week. With this agreement, TCS will help Morrisons enhance operations across key business functions, including retail, e-commerce, and marketing. The goal is to make things run more smoothly, be more efficient, and help Morrisons use more digital technology.
TCS will help Morrisons work more effectively, revamp its loyalty program, deliver a better shopping experience, and compete more strongly in the market. TCS will do this by providing services, such as building and testing new computer applications, updating old computer systems, and using artificial intelligence (AI) to make services better.
TCS will also set up an automation factory and a Business Intelligence Command Centre (BICC) to enable a 360-degree operation view, solve problems quickly, and make better decisions using data. These changes should mean fewer problems, less manual work, faster response times, and a better experience for shoppers.
TCS will also improve Morrisons’ digital systems for loyalty, marketing, online shopping, and retail.

Since 2014, TCS and Morrisons have worked together to help the business grow and modernize. Important projects include improving the supply chain, making products get to stores faster, solving stock problems, and reducing waste. TCS also helped Morrisons improve its employee management by updating its IT systems and engineering practices.
