Tata Consultancy Services signed a five-year partnership with Tata Motors to accelerate the company’s sustainability efforts. Tata Motors’ sustainability platform, Prakriti, powered by TCS Intelligent Urban ExchangeTM (IUX), will digitise ESG data and enable real-time monitoring, automated ESG compliance reporting, and data-driven sustainability insights, strengthening Tata Motors’ ability to drive measurable environmental impact across its operations and reporting across all its plants. Expertise and domain input from Tata Motors played a pivotal role in configuring IUX for sustainability and co-developing the Prakriti solution tailored to Tata Motors’ operational and sustainability needs.
Working with TCS, Tata Motors is consolidating all its environmental data into a single, easy-to-use system. It will help Tata Motors measure pollution, follow government rules, and analyse its sustainability efforts. Tata Motors also wants to ensure its suppliers operate sustainably. They will follow the rules set by SEBI’s Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) guidelines.
SJR Kutty, Chief Sustainability Officer at Tata Motors, said, “We are committed to protecting the planet. Our plan, called Project Aalingana, has three main goals: reduce pollution in our work and supply chain, reuse resources, and help restore nature. We also focus on all parts of ESG (environmental, social, and governance) to build a sustainable future. Working with TCS helps us use smart technology and automation in our journey to become more sustainable. This partnership is an important step for positive change in the car industry and beyond.”
TCS’s Intelligent Urban Exchange (IUX) technology will help make the whole business more digital and sustainable. It will help Tata Motors follow government rules quickly and keep track of its environmental data easily. Because IUX can be adjusted for car companies, it will help Tata Motors, its workers, suppliers, and dealers become more sustainable, supporting Tata Motors’ big sustainability goals.
Rajesh Kannan, CEO of Tata Motors Digital.AI Labs, said, “Working closely with TCS helps Tata Motors set new standards for managing sustainability. Our new digital system gives us strong data and analysis so we can work in a way that is better for the environment. This shows we care about being open, using new technology, and making transportation more sustainable.”
Anupam Singhal, President of Manufacturing at TCS, said, “At TCS, we believe that protecting the environment is everyone’s job. Our work with Tata Motors uses smart technology like IUX to make the company more open, responsible, and ready for the future. Together, we are changing how companies work to make the world cleaner and more responsible.”
Ashvini Saxena, Vice President and Head of Digital Software & Solutions at TCS, said, “Our IUX technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help companies become more sustainable. It helps Tata Motors reduce pollution, follow government rules, and protect nature. We want Tata Motors to use sustainability as a key part of their business and to create long-term value for everyone.”
