IBM and Groq have teamed up to make it easier for businesses to use advanced AI technology. They aim to provide clients with quick access to Groq’s AI processing tool, GroqCloud, through IBM’s WatsonX Orchestrate.
“Many large enterprise organisations have a range of options with AI inferencing when they’re experimenting, but when they want to go into production, they must ensure complex workflows can be deployed successfully to ensure high-quality experiences,” said Rob Thomas, SVP, Software and Chief Commercial Officer at IBM. “Our partnership with Groq underscores IBM’s commitment to providing clients with the most advanced technologies to achieve AI deployment and drive business value.”
Jonathan Ross, the CEO of Groq, added that by combining Groq’s speed with IBM’s experience, they are helping businesses make the best use of AI. They aim to enable organisations to fully benefit from AI, allowing it to respond quickly and learn continuously. IBM will start providing access to GroqCloud right away.
The two companies will focus on offering the following benefits to IBM clients:
Fast and efficient AI processing that helps businesses use AI for customer support, employee productivity, and more.
Safe and secure AI deployment that meets high security standards, ensuring that complex tasks can be completed effectively.
Easy integration with IBM’s WatsonX Orchestrate system, giving clients the flexibility to use customised AI solutions for different needs.
Additionally, they plan to improve the Red Hat open source vLLM technology along with Groq’s architecture. This will help tackle common challenges that developers face when using AI and make it easier to work with familiar tools while speeding up processing with GroqCloud.
This collaboration aims to better support developers by improving AI processing, balancing workloads, and enhancing hardware use, making the AI process smoother.
Through this partnership, IBM and Groq aim to provide powerful access to enterprise AI that is fast, smart, and ready to make a real difference in the world. Please note that plans and goals mentioned by IBM and Groq may change or be updated over time.
