LTIMindtree, a global technology and digital solutions company, along with its parent group – Larsen & Toubro (L&T), a leading engineering and technology company in India, highlighted their support for the development of Amaravati Quantum Valley, India’s first hub for quantum technology, at a recent event in Amaravati.
This partnership makes LTIMindtree and L&T major players in technology and infrastructure, working with the Government of Andhra Pradesh (GoAP), IBM, and other groups to create a top-notch, innovative center.
As part of this collaboration, LTIMindtree’s Quantum Centre of Excellence (CoE) will focus on deep technology research, helping to turn basic scientific ideas into practical uses for industry and society.
L&T will lead the design and construction of the infrastructure needed for Amaravati Quantum Valley, using its experience in building large-scale projects to create essential facilities.
A key part of the project is the Quantum Computing Centre, where IBM and the Andhra Pradesh Government plan to set up the IBM Quantum System Two, expected to be the largest quantum computer in India.
L&T is working closely with IBM to plan the complex building requirements necessary for these quantum computers, and the development of this important center is progressing rapidly to create an environment ready for the future.
“Advanced computing is changing the way we innovate. Through our Quantum Centre of Excellence, LTIMindtree is driving research and incubation—turning basic science into real-world benefits. We are proud to move forward with the Amaravati Quantum Valley and support the National Quantum Mission,” said Venu Lambu, CEO and Managing Director of LTIMindtree.
The Amaravati Quantum Valley will feature:
-Modern research facilities for quantum and classical computing.
– Shared workspaces for schools, startups, businesses, and government. – Flexible office spaces for companies and research teams.
– Areas for events and community activities like conferences, hackathons, workshops, and outreach programs.
By fostering collaboration across various sectors, the Quantum Valley Tech Park will become a vibrant hub for education, industry, startups, and government, helping to position India as a leader in the global field of quantum technology.
