Kyndryl, an IT infrastructure services provider, announced the renewal of its contract with Michelin, a French multinational tire manufacturer, for five years. This decision reflects Michelin’s recognition of Kyndryl’s quality of service and expertise in IT services.
Kyndryl will help Michelin accelerate its technology transformation by migrating its systems to a modern hybrid cloud environment and improving the efficiency of its IT operations through automation and new ways of working (shared squad team by product) that add value to customers.
For 20 years, Kyndryl has partnered with Michelin on its digital journey and its data centers, enabling it to meet the challenges of a constantly evolving market.
“This new agreement marks a turning point in our historic relationship with Kyndryl, as it comes in a context of profound transformations that are necessary to support Michelin’s global strategy,” said Pauline Flament, CTO of the Michelin Group.
“While continuing to guarantee service quality at the required level, we are transforming our infrastructure in order to offer a better quality of experience to our users in a hybrid technical and operational environment while guaranteeing an optimal level for our costs and the security of our data, with a better environmental footprint,” he added.
“We are delighted to continue to be Michelin’s partner of choice, supporting their IT transformation while continuing to innovate together,” said Jerome Calmelet, President of Kyndryl France. “This renewal is a testament to the strength of our long-standing relationship, the work we’ve accomplished together, and the trust they have in us to continue to co-create on their mission-critical IT projects. I am confident that this will lead to more innovative projects with Michelin to create better experiences for their customers, partners, and employees.”
