Wipro Limited, a major technology services and consulting company, today announced a partnership with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and the Foundation for Science Innovation and Development (FSID). This collaboration aims to work on advanced research and innovation in emerging technologies.
As part of this agreement, Wipro and IISc will launch a joint research program focused on quantum computing, advanced AI models, secure digital systems, and new methods for autonomous networks.
The partnership will enhance Wipro’s capability to provide advanced AI-powered solutions in various sectors, including telecommunications, manufacturing, financial services, and healthcare.

This partnership will help Wipro create platforms suitable for industry use, scalable models, and new intellectual property, which will be available to clients through Wipro’s WINGS and WEGA delivery platforms, as well as through specific industry solutions and innovation offerings under Wipro Intelligence™. For IISc, this collaboration will enhance its research capabilities, provide better industry validation, and create opportunities for transferring technology to the market.
Rajesh Sundaresan, Dean of the Division of Electrical, Electronics and Computer Sciences (EECS) at IISc, said, “Wipro and IISc have a long history of working together, dating back to 1979 when they started designing and developing microprocessor-based mini-computer systems. This new partnership will strengthen IISc’s ability to advance research in intelligent systems, digital infrastructure, and secure computing.”
