Vodafone Idea (Vi) is preparing to launch 5G mobile broadband services in March 2025, as per Economics Times and Telecomtalk report. The strategy plans are designed to capture and grow market share within the telecommunications sector, offering a “competing costing plan.”
BSNL is also preparing to introduce 5g services by 2025. Airtel and Jio are already providing 5G services to their customers.
To strengthen its competition in the market against established players like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, which have established nationwide 5G networks, Vi will also be enhancing its 4G coverage infrastructure and investing to draw attention and regain the competitive customers.
The company will particularly target India’s top 75 urban cities with a primary focus on industrial hubs and provinces that show substantial data consumption patterns. This targeted approach will enhance their market existence and promote greater attention to possible customers in these regions.

The company would be able to further enhance its 4G coverage and introduce 5G in key cities as soon as possible as it holds sufficient and competitive 5G spectrum in its 17 priority markets, the spokesperson added, according to telecomtalk.
This multifunction approach reminisces Vi’s commitment to boosting its place in the rapidly growing telecom landscape.
