Vodafone Idea (Vi) has teamed up with HCLSoftware, a software division of HCLTech, to enhance the efficiency and intelligence of its 4G and 5G networks.
Vodafone Idea (Vi) is now using HCL Augmented Network Automation (HCL ANA), a multi-vendor self-optimizing network (MV-SON) solution designed to manage operations across its Ericsson and Samsung network infrastructures.
The incorporation of HCL ANA leverages advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to streamline the management of Vi’s intricate multi-vendor, multi-technology, and multi-layered network architecture and set to improve overall network performance, optimize energy consumption, and enhance service delivery to end-users.
The HCL ANA platform’s readiness for Smart Management Operations (SMO) and compatibility with Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) paradigms confirms that the technology remains future-proof.
Sharing his thoughts on the partnership, Jagbir Singh, CTO of Vodafone Idea, said, “This partnership with HCLSoftware is a major step forward for Vodafone Idea. The AI-powered HCL ANA platform will streamline our network operations and provide superior network experience to our customers. It also reflects Vi’s commitment to using advanced, Made-in-India technologies to improve services, reduce costs, and prepare for the future of telecom innovation.”
