Tech Mahindra has announced a partnership with Aduna, the global aggregator of network APIs, backed by leading communication service providers (CSPs). This partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of standardized network capabilities and simplify enterprise integration across markets.
They will be able to offer different services to businesses and customers, leading to new ways to earn revenue. Tech Mahindra will bring its expertise in network engineering and business transformations, while Aduna will provide a strong platform for managing and selling network services. Aduna’s platform gathers APIs from various network operators, making it easier for developers to work with these services and drive innovation.
The platform is based on an open-source project CAMARA, which is supported by GSMA and the Linux Foundation. This aims to help everyone work together and fully use the network’s capabilities.
Manish Mangal, President and Head – Americas Communications Business, Tech Mahindra, said, “The telecom industry has a significant opportunity to unlock the value of its networks and assets by making them accessible through standardized APIs and transforming connectivity into a platform for innovation. Our partnership with Aduna exemplifies our commitment to the telecom industry in fostering new business models and creating opportunities for revenue growth. Together, we have developed a robust, pre-integrated solution that combines Tech Mahindra’s delivery expertise with Aduna’s standardized API platform to enable faster deployment, operational flexibility, and increased consumption of network capabilities such as identity, security and location. This joint offering empowers CSPs to transition to programmable, API-driven networks and capture new value in the emerging network API economy.”
The new framework being developed will work well with 5G networks and support fast and flexible service offerings. It will also include strong security features like identity management and access control to ensure safe use of network functions. Additionally, the solution will offer features powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for better analytics, helping to manage service agreements and optimize usage.
Peter Arbitter, Chief Commercial Officer of Aduna, mentioned that telecom networks are changing to become programmable platforms, and CSPs need the right tools and partners to make the most of these changes. Through working with Tech Mahindra, they are providing a faster way for CSPs to create and sell new services. By using global standards, they are helping telecom companies move from testing ideas to offering real services that generate revenue.
This partnership will enhance Tech Mahindra’s offerings in the growing network API market, solidifying its role as an important partner for CSPs. It also represents a significant move towards helping CSPs commercialize their infrastructure and play an active role in the new network-as-a-platform economy.
