Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has partnered with NOW Corporation’s telecom arm, Now Telecom, a government-owned telecommunications company in the Philippines. This partnership aims to enhance digital security, make financial services more accessible to everyone, and establish a robust internet network in the country.
With this agreement, TCS will help Now Telecom expand secure networks, provide cloud technology, and develop services that focus on the needs of citizens. TCS will work as a technology partner to help build the digital infrastructure of the Philippines and create new opportunities for economic growth and empower citizens.
Both TCS and NOW Telecom are part of the Trusted Network Alliance, which supports the safe development of reliable telecommunications networks globally. With this partnership, TCS is showing its commitment to promoting cooperation in digital security across the Indo-Pacific region.
Mel Velarde, the Chairman of the NOW Group, expressed excitement about the partnership with TCS, saying it will help create a secure data cloud for both public and private sectors in the region. He highlighted that this collaboration with TCS is an important step towards making the Philippines more self-sufficient in technology and reducing dependence on foreign tech. Together, NOW and TCS aim to protect national data and build a strong data infrastructure.

TCS and NOW will work together to design and create secure digital systems that follow the guidelines from the Philippines’ Department of Information and Communications Technology. TCS will set up a cloud system to ensure local control of data, build AI capabilities, and support local development.
