Ralph Lauren recently launched Ask Ralph, a special shopping experience that uses AI technology, which invites consumers to engage with and get inspired by Ralph Lauren’s unique style.
With Ask Ralph, users can explore different styling inspirations based on their preferences. This feature is now available to Ralph Lauren app users in the United States.
Ask Ralph was developed with Microsoft on its Azure OpenAI platform and utilises advanced conversational AI technology. It understands open-ended prompts, interprets context and provides tailored recommendations.
David Lauren, Chief Branding and Innovation Officer, Ralph Lauren Corporation, mentioned that this is a continuation of their long relationship with Microsoft, dating back to when they first started selling online.
With Ask Ralph, shoppers can ask questions like “What should I wear to a concert?” or “Show me some women’s Polo Bear sweaters.” The service will then provide visual outfit ideas and styling tips, making it easy for users to pick and buy items they like.
Shelley Bransten, Corporate Vice President of Global Industry Solutions, Microsoft talked about how AI is changing the way people shop for fashion. She believes that combining their advanced AI technology with Ralph Lauren’s brand will create a new and exciting shopping experience.
As users interact with Ask Ralph, the service will continue to improve and offer new features. It may also expand to include more Ralph Lauren brands and be available in other countries.
Ask Ralph is part of Ralph Lauren’s ongoing efforts to create engaging shopping experiences. The brand has a history of using innovative ideas in retail and was one of the first luxury companies to start online shopping about 25 years ago. The Ask Ralph feature is now available for Ralph Lauren app users in the U.S. on both Apple and Android devices.
